Cookin Nanta Show Bangkok


For an action packed stage show like nothing else in Bangkok the comedy chefs in Cookin NANTA will amaze and delight all ages. Nanta is a Korean word to mean strike relentlessly, and throughout this non verbal theatrical performance, thrilling percussion music is created using everything from traditional Korean water drums to cooking utensils like chefs whisks and carving knives. The nonstop rhythmic percussion is complemented by hilarious facial expressions and a little help from the audience to create a humorous story of a hapless gang of chefs. The theatre company is originally from Korea, but have travelled with this show extensively: from Edinburgh, London and Germany in Europe, to Japan and Singapore in Asia, and even making history as the first Asian production to open its own large-scale theatre in New York.

Calypso Cabaret Show


An explosion of lights, sounds and pouts, the famous Calypso Ladyboy Cabaret is a breathless blend of incredible sets, glittering costumes and thrilling musical acts. Despite what you have seen or heard about Thai ladyboys, these performers are good at what they do best: looking and acting just like the real thing. You will be left dazzled by the show and quite possibly smitten with the many gender-straddling performers. Magic Art Museum at MBK mall is the second 3D Trickeye venue to open in Bangkok. The concept of a trick eye museum is simple and fun, and makes a perfect escape for families or couples looking to fill an hour or two on a rainy day, or to cool down from the heat, with a silly and good-humoured activity. The ‘museum’ is more like a gallery, with various interactive paintings and installations providing some great illusional photo opportunities. Some scenes are simple paintings on a flat wall where you just hold an object outside the frame (like a toothbrush into a horse mouth), whilst some immerse you in an full scale spectacle, like surfing on a sea of money, riding a longtail boat in a floating market, sitting next to a tiger, or hanging upside down from the ceiling to escape hungry crocodiles! Special marks on the floor indicate the best places to stand to get the best 3D illusion.
